    James Jones uses PlanGuru in his role as Controller at Ramsden Industries Limited. Ramsden is a manufacturer of aluminum permanent mold castings, which are used in almost every industry and product type, from engine components and office products to electronic components and surgical instruments. Ramsden is privately held and headquartered in London, Ontario.

    PlanGuru was initially purchased in order to facilitate internal ownership changes at Ramsden by constructing an extended forecast and now Ramsden is utilizing PlanGuru for long term strategic planning. In addition to the extended budget, James has developed a rolling fiscal year budget by exporting company data into Excel and then importing the data into PlanGuru. Once he has finished solving the budget in PlanGuru, he exports the data to Excel in order to load the budget back into Ramsden’s ERP system to compare budget vs. actuals.

    Next year, James hopes to incorporate PlanGuru into the company’s bidding process on major projects in order to better understand the cash consequences of quotes before they make the proposal.
